The brief for this project consisted of references like the TED Talk intro by Ordinary Folk, their internal presentation template graphics and the RCPE brand guidelines. (Unfortunately I can’t show these references here)

The purpose of the style frames is to nail the visuals of the animation, taking out all the guesswork when communicating with the client.
Since the brand guidelines were very specific about the brand colors, most of the materials here were given a flat look and color corrected to match the exact hex values specified.

To have absolute control of the floating cubes, I opted not to use a physics simulation and instead used a complex set of nodes and math operations. This allowed me to easily change how they move and where they move to, perfectly matching the movement to fit the composition.
The rest of the movements are rather simple, animating the materials and scale to elegantly give the scene weight and scale.
